SAT. Small Steps, Big Progress: Charlie Enjoys Short Walk as Recovery Continues

Charlie marked a small but meaningful victory today, enjoying a walk of just over a quarter mile — a sign of steady progress on his road to recovery.
With temperatures hovering around 30 degrees but feeling closer to the low 20s due to strong winds, conditions weren’t ideal. The road and sidewalks were slick and messy, and Charlie made it clear he wasn’t a fan. Still, the brief walk was a positive step forward.
Charlie is continuing to do well on his current medication regimen, taking Levetiracetam ER 500 mg twice daily. His owner says the medication appears to be helping, offering renewed hope as each day brings incremental improvements.
After the walk, Charlie spent the rest of the day enjoying mental stimulation toys and plenty of snuggles — a balance of activity and comfort that seems to suit him well.
Looking ahead, there’s optimism that warmer temperatures and sunshine will make tomorrow an even better day.
The family is also reaching out to the pet community for advice, asking fellow pet owners who use MCT oil to share which brands they recommend and how much they use.
For now, Charlie is resting comfortably — a reminder that sometimes, even the shortest walk can be a big win. 🌞🐾
