SAT . After Fourth Surgery, New Images of Hunter’s Hand Offer a Glimpse of Hope

The first images of Hunter’s right hand after surgery #4 are unbelievable — because after everything he’s endured, it looks like a miracle is unfolding.

The swelling is still there. The stitches tell a tough story. But the fasciotomy incisions are holding, the tissue looks healthy, and for the first time in days, there’s visible progress where doctors have been fighting to save function.

His dad shared that when a nurse changed the outer dressing due to drainage, what they saw underneath brought relief: the hand looks good. Stronger than expected. Still fighting.

Hunter even made it outside for fresh air — bandaged arms, IV lines, pain in the background — but standing tall anyway.

A moment that mattered.

Later, he powered through post-surgical pain and even got a real shampoo from his wife Katie using a makeshift basin. Small wins, earned the hard way.

This is the 24-year-old lineman who climbed into danger so others could have heat and light, now enduring surgery after surgery to keep his hands.

There’s still a long road ahead, more procedures likely coming, and nothing about this is easy.

But today, there is hope you can see.

If you’ve been praying for Hunter, keep going.

And if you want to leave him a message — something he can read — this is one of those moments where it matters more than you know.
