SAT . A Fragile Hope Tonight: Hunter Keeps Fighting Hour by Hour

There is cautious hope tonight for Hunter — fragile, careful, and measured hour by hour. For a lineman fighting to save his arms after being electrocuted during a brutal winter storm, every moment is a battle.

Hunter’s father, Daren, shared the latest update, revealing just how delicate — and hard-fought — this moment still is.

“Hunter had a good night until about 2 a.m., when one of his wound vacs started alarming. A blood clot had clogged the drain line,” Daren said.
“When the nurse cleared it and reconnected the vacuum seal, it caused him intense pain. The dressing on his left hand is leaking at the fingers, and there’s also an air leak in the wound vac on his right arm.”
“His doctor is currently in surgery and plans to check on him afterward.”

And yet, through all of this, Hunter’s spirit remains strong.

Friends and family have been coming in and out all day, surrounding him with love and encouragement. There is one piece of hopeful news doctors are watching closely: his CK level this morning was 1,125, continuing to trend downward. That’s a sign his body is slowly stabilizing as the medical team fights to save his arms.

This is still a waiting game. Doctors are cautiously optimistic, but nothing is guaranteed yet. Every day matters. Every prayer matters.

Hunter is the 24-year-old lineman who nearly lost his life while restoring power during the ice storm — taking the hit so others could have heat, light, and safety. Now, he’s the one in need of strength.

If you’re able, please keep the prayers coming tonight.

What would you say to a man fighting this hard — not just for his life, but for his future?
