sat . 💔 A LONG, HEAVY NIGHT — AND THE KINDNESS HOLDING THEM UP

Last night bled into today, and both were unbearably hard.
He struggled to keep his oxygen levels at goal, slipping backward and needing more support. His body is swollen, congested, and fighting to regulate itself — one moment freezing, the next burning up. Medications meant to help brought new complications, forcing doctors to adjust yet again. Even his IV failed, leaving everyone waiting anxiously for the next line as stability remained just out of reach.
In the middle of the chaos, his mom stepped out briefly for coffee — and found herself overwhelmed by the unexpected beauty surrounding the hospital. Downstairs, she discovered a special space donated by Ryan Seacrest, created to bring light, creativity, and joy to children who desperately need it. Someone handed her a big blue dinosaur 🦕 to take back upstairs. A small thing — but on days like this, small things matter.
The kindness hasn’t stopped there.

From doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists to customer service staff rolling carts full of Disney gifts, this hospital has wrapped the family in compassion. Child Life arrived with a Mickey Mouse, stars for the ceiling, music — and even his name spelled out in Mickeys. Yes, she cried. Anyone would.
Two nurses, Lauren and Kendell, have gone far beyond their duties — staying longer, offering comfort, and sitting through the hardest moments when strength felt thin.
There is also deep gratitude for The Kyle Pease Foundation, whose outreach and support have meant more than words can express.
And to everyone who has sent coffee money, messages, and prayers — thank you. She’s trying to stay strong, but tonight that strength feels fragile.
So please… keep the prayers coming. 🙏
Sometimes they are the only thing holding a family together.
