LDL. Doctors Closely Monitor Jax as Infection Concerns Increase

Jax’s medical team is keeping a close watch after new lab results showed his infection markers rising instead of improving — a development doctors say is concerning but not unexpected in critically ill patients.

In response, physicians have launched a full infection panel and made several significant changes to eliminate any possible sources of infection. Jax had a PICC line placed, allowing doctors to remove the internal jugular line from his neck. His IV in his left hand was also removed after failing, along with his chest tubes and urinary catheter.

Doctors are hopeful that these changes will help stabilize his condition and prevent further complications.

Earlier in the day, when the paralytic medication was lifted, standard narcotics were not effectively managing Jax’s discomfort. The care team transitioned him to Propofol, which appears to be working much better. Since the paralytic was discontinued, Jax has remained calmer than during previous attempts — a positive sign in a delicate phase of care.

Medical staff are now closely monitoring Jax’s blood gases and heart rhythm. When he becomes agitated, his blood pressure can fluctuate significantly and trigger arrhythmias, making calm and stability critical to his recovery.

Jax’s family continues to ask for prayers — for peace for his body, healing from any underlying infection, and steady forward progress. They remain deeply grateful for the support, prayers, and encouragement surrounding their sweet boy during this difficult time.
