LDL. Three-Year-Old Luna Faces Leukemia With Courage Beyond Her Years
The day doctors tell a parent that their child has cancer, everything changes forever. For Luna’s family, that moment came on February 4, 2025 — World Cancer Day, when their 3-year-old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia.
In a matter of hours, Luna’s family packed up their life and relocated across Texas to San Antonio, entering a world they never expected — one filled with hospital rooms, spinal taps, IV lines, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and overwhelming fear.
Since her diagnosis, Luna has endured an astonishing amount of medical treatment for someone so young. She has undergone chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, bone marrow extractions, 14 blood transfusions, and nine platelet infusions — and her battle is far from over. Doctors say she still has years of treatment ahead as they fight to defeat the disease.
Despite everything, Luna’s spirit has never faded.
Even on her hardest days — when she is exhausted, in pain, or frightened — Luna continues to smile. Her family says she thanks every nurse and doctor who walks into her room, offering kindness and bravery far beyond her years.
“She’s only three,” her loved ones say, “but she’s teaching all of us what courage looks like.”
As Luna continues her long journey through cancer treatment, her family is facing not only the emotional toll, but also the financial strain that comes with months — and potentially years — of specialized medical care far from home.
They are asking the community for prayers, support, and encouragement as they stand beside their little girl, who continues to fight with everything she has.
Luna’s story is a powerful reminder of the strength of children, the resilience of families, and the hope that still shines even in the darkest moments.
