LDL. Jude Continues Delicate Recovery as Family and Doctors Take Careful, Hopeful Steps Forward
Jude’s medical team and family are celebrating small but meaningful progress as the young child continues his recovery following a series of serious respiratory and neurological complications.
According to his parents, Jude is responding slowly but steadily to treatment — a pace that doctors say is exactly what his body needs. This week, clinicians were able to reduce some of his non-invasive breathing support, a positive sign that his lungs are beginning to stabilize. However, when doctors attempted to lower his continuous albuterol, Jude showed he was not yet ready, and the medication was quickly restored to keep his breathing safe and steady.
While progress has been made, the journey remains fragile. Jude experienced another significant seizure earlier in the evening, though it thankfully stopped just under five minutes without the need for emergency rescue medication. His care team has since placed IV rescue medication at his bedside to ensure immediate response if another seizure occurs.
Despite the challenges, Jude’s family remains encouraged by the gradual forward movement. They continue to ask for prayers for seizure control, lung healing, and a peaceful, restorative night of rest as Jude’s body works to recover.
In a tender moment amid the hospital routine, Jude’s nurse even gave him a “spa day,” complete with a teddy bear ponytail, bringing a smile to his family and a bit of light to a difficult day.
Surrounded by skilled medical care, faith, and an outpouring of love from supporters, Jude continues to take one brave step at a time toward healing.
