LDL. Family of Will Roberts Warns Supporters About Fake Donation Accounts
The family of Will Roberts has issued an important warning after discovering fraudulent donation accounts circulating online.
Jason Roberts, Will’s father, confirmed that after Rick Karle shared the family’s Venmo account to help support Will’s medical journey, scammers began creating fake Venmo profiles using photos taken from the family’s social media pages. These accounts are designed to mislead well-meaning supporters who want to help the family during this difficult time.
Roberts urged anyone wishing to contribute financially to carefully verify the correct account before sending money. According to the family, the only legitimate Venmo account ends with the last four digits “4208.”
“If you feel led to give, please make sure those last four numbers match,” Jason said in a statement. “That is the only verified account connected to our family.”
The family emphasized that they are deeply grateful for the outpouring of prayers, love, and generosity from supporters across the country. However, they are also asking everyone to remain cautious and to report any suspicious accounts using their images or name.
Will continues to receive treatment as his family navigates both medical challenges and the added burden of protecting supporters from online fraud.
The Roberts family says their focus remains on Will’s health and healing, while they also work to ensure that kindness and generosity are not exploited during such a vulnerable time.
