LDL. North Texas Woman With Terminal Cancer Chooses Hospice, Says Her Decision Comes From Peace, Not Giving Up

Chandler Floyd, a woman from North Texas, is sharing one of the hardest decisions a person can ever face — and doing so with honesty, faith, and quiet courage.

After months of fighting colon cancer, doctors have now told Chandler that her disease has progressed faster than expected. She has been given a prognosis of four to six months to live. With that reality in front of her, Chandler has chosen to step away from further aggressive treatment and begin hospice care.

She says her decision comes from peace, not surrender. Chandler wants the time she has left to be lived fully, comfortably, and surrounded by the people she loves. While she continues to pray for a miracle and more time, she also admits she is exhausted from years of battling cancer.

Chandler’s journey has been especially devastating. In less than three months, routine scans went from normal to showing metastatic stage 4 colon cancer. The disease has now spread to her lungs, liver, bowel, pelvis, and peritoneum. After multiple remissions and years of treatment, this is now her third battle with cancer.

She is grieving the moments she may never get to experience — the milestones, the memories, and the future she once imagined. Yet even in her heartbreak, she remains grounded in faith and hope.

Though she never wanted to ask, Chandler is now humbly requesting prayers, love, and support from anyone who feels called to help. Her story is one of strength, vulnerability, and a reminder of the preciousness of time.

As she enters this final chapter, Chandler hopes to be surrounded not by fear, but by love, comfort, and the peace of knowing she is not alone. ❤️‍🩹
