A Journey No Child Should Walk
Tanner’s road has been unimaginably heart-wrenching.
- It started with chest pains dismissed as asthma.
- Then, a devastating misdiagnosis of two blood cancers led to intense, grueling chemo he never even needed.
- He lost his hair, his strength, and his childhood behind cold hospital walls—all before doctors finally found the real truth: Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a rare bone marrow disease.
Bringing Back the Magic of Childhood
But your kindness changed the narrative. Tanner’s mom, Tara, told us his face lit up like never before. He’s been obsessed with seeing where each card traveled from. Whether it was a basketball card, a $2 bill, or just a handwritten note, you gave a brave boy something cancer couldn’t touch: Joy.
The Best News? Tanner is currently an outpatient! His numbers are stabilizing, and—get this—his hair is even starting to grow back. 🌱
