sz. Update for Pryce.: A Day of Progress — and a Sudden Turn

Today could have been better for Pryce.
The day began with cautious optimism. After days of close monitoring, his lungs continued to respond well as doctors carefully adjusted his ventilator support.
Each small step forward has mattered — every stable breath, every sign that his body is learning to work a little more on its own. For a child who has endured so much, those moments of progress feel monumental.

But as this journey has taught us again and again, improvement rarely follows a straight line.
As the day unfolded, Pryce faced a setback that reminded everyone just how fragile this balance still is. After a period where his bleeding appeared to be under control and his platelet levels had been holding steady, the situation shifted.
The bleeding increased again, and his platelet count dropped — an unwelcome reversal that changed the tone of the day.

Doctors moved quickly, reassessing labs, adjusting care, and watching closely to ensure that this setback would not undo the progress his lungs have been making.
For now, his respiratory improvement remains intact, and that alone is something we are deeply grateful for. Still, the concern lingers. Increased bleeding can place stress on the entire body, and the medical team is doing everything possible to protect the gains Pryce has worked so hard to achieve.
One of the most persistent challenges continues to be his bladder. It has been bleeding for weeks, refusing to respond to the usual treatments. At this point, options are painfully limited. The care team has explored what they can, but there are no easy solutions left on the table — only careful monitoring, supportive care, and hope.

This is the part of Pryce’s story that weighs heavily on everyone who loves him.
It is exhausting to watch a child fight battles that medicine cannot easily fix. It is humbling to reach a point where science pauses, and faith is asked to step forward.
Yet, even here, there is strength — in Pryce’s resilience, in the dedication of his medical team, and in the community that continues to lift him up through prayer and love.

Tonight, the focus is twofold: gratitude and hope.
Gratitude that Pryce’s lungs are still improving, even in the face of new challenges. Gratitude for doctors and nurses who refuse to give up, who keep searching for answers even when options are scarce.
And gratitude for every person who continues to speak Pryce’s name, send prayers, and hold space for his family during these long, uncertain days.
And hope — hope that the increased bleeding will not cause further complications. Hope that his lungs will remain strong and continue moving forward, not backward.
And hope, above all, for a breakthrough. Whether that comes through a medical solution not yet discovered or through healing that defies explanation, we are praying for relief for Pryce’s body and peace for his family.
This journey is not over. Today reminded us of that.
But it also reminded us why we keep believing — because even on hard days, Pryce continues to fight, and hope is still alive.

Thank you for standing with us. 💛💜💛
