ST.Keep Fighting, Champ”: 10-Year-Old Boy Battling for Life After Tragic Christmas Collision.

Christmas Day was supposed to be filled with laughter, warmth, and family moments. Instead, it became a nightmare that Bentley Green’s family will never forget.
The 10-year-old boy is currently fighting for his life in a Tulsa hospital after suffering devastating injuries in a violent crash that occurred on Christmas Day in Muskogee. Bentley sustained multiple skull fractures, a brain bleed, a tear in a major artery, and has no movement on the left side of his body, according to his family.
The crash happened while Bentley, his mother, and three other children were stopped at a red light. Without warning, a semi-truck slammed into the back of their vehicle with tremendous force, changing their lives forever in a matter of seconds.

A Moment of Distraction, A Lifetime of Consequences
Muskogee Police have confirmed that the driver of the semi-truck, Francisco Ramirez, was distracted by his cell phone at the time of the crash. Investigators say that moment of inattention caused the semi to crash directly into the family’s car.

The impact was so severe that emergency responders immediately recognized Bentley’s condition as critical. He was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital, where he has remained ever since, surrounded by doctors, machines, and a family clinging to hope.
A Mother’s Hope in the Smallest Signs
Bentley’s mother, Mykyla Green, says the days since the crash have been the longest of her life. Watching her son lie in a hospital bed, unable to move one side of his body, is something no parent is ever prepared for.
But amid the fear and uncertainty, there have been small moments that keep her going.
“He’s squeezed my hand a couple of times,” Mykyla shared. “And that gives me hope. I keep telling him, ‘You got this, bud. You got this.’”
Doctors have told the family that the brain bleeding has thankfully stopped, a crucial milestone in Bentley’s recovery. While that brings a measure of relief, the road ahead remains long and uncertain.
A Long Road to Recovery
Bentley’s parents, Cody and Mykyla, were informed by doctors that their son is facing months — possibly years — of recovery. The extent of his brain injury and the lack of movement on his left side mean intensive rehabilitation, therapy, and ongoing medical care.

Medical experts explain that traumatic brain injuries can evolve slowly, with progress measured in small steps rather than dramatic breakthroughs. Each squeeze of a hand, each response to a voice, becomes a victory.
For Bentley’s family, every day is now focused on one thing: giving him the best chance to heal.
Community Support and Growing Awareness
As news of Bentley’s condition spread, the community has begun rallying around the Green family with prayers, messages of encouragement, and calls for awareness about distracted driving.
“This didn’t have to happen,” one supporter wrote online. “One glance at a phone changed a child’s life forever.”

Police continue to emphasize the dangers of distracted driving, especially involving large commercial vehicles where the consequences can be catastrophic.
Holding On to Faith
Despite the overwhelming challenges, Bentley’s family remains determined to stay strong — for him.
They sit by his bedside, speak to him, hold his hand, and believe that he can hear them. They believe that love, patience, and persistence matter.
“Bentley is a fighter,” his mother says. “We just need him to keep fighting.”
This Christmas may have ended in tragedy, but for Bentley Green and his family, every new day now carries the same quiet prayer:
“You got this, bud. You got this.”
