SO. Cylus’ Journey: A Brave Child’s Battle Against the Unthinkable, and the Power of Hope Over Fear
I wish I didn’t have to share this update, but the reality is here, and it’s heavy on my heart. 💔 Cylus, a beautiful, vibrant boy who should be running and laughing without care, has been through more than anyone, let alone a child, should ever have to endure.

His story is one of unimaginable strength, perseverance, and courage, but it’s also one of deep pain, fear, and uncertainty.
It began with something so simple — headaches, eye pain. Then, one day, the left side of his face stopped moving. What should have been a fleeting moment of concern soon turned into the beginning of something much darker.
Tests came back with devastating news: a mass at the base of his skull was pressing on his facial nerve. It was a cruel reminder that cancer, relentless and unforgiving, had once again found its way into his body.
But Cylus isn’t the type to let this news break him. Though his body is weak and his spirit has been tested more times than any child’s should be, he continues to fight.
Tomorrow marks a new chapter in his battle: MIBG therapy, a four-day course of radiation followed by four days of isolation. The treatment is meant to stop the spread of the disease, to fight back against the unstoppable force that cancer has become in his young life. But even with this new hope, the path ahead is uncertain.
Cylus has faced setback after setback. The cancer has spread. He’s endured fractures, infections, and so much pain — yet through it all, he still finds the strength to smile when he can.
He continues to choose life, even when it feels like everything around him is breaking down. There is a resilience in him that can only be described as miraculous. Even in the face of suffering, he manages to find moments of joy, moments of light, and he shares them with everyone around him.

Despite the countless hardships, Cylus has taught us the true meaning of fighting. He’s shown us that courage isn’t always about winning the battle. Sometimes, it’s simply about standing up every time you fall, about pushing through the darkness when it feels like the world is closing in.
He has chosen to live — to live with everything he has, even when every day brings a new challenge.
His family, his loved ones, are praying with every piece of their souls for a miracle. Each prayer is a cry for hope, for the strength to face whatever comes next. And while the fear of what might be is ever-present, there is still hope.
Hope that is stronger than any fear, hope that refuses to let go, no matter how hard the journey becomes.
Please, hold Cylus in your hearts and believe with us that the power of love and hope is greater than any fear or illness. Together, we can lift him up, send him strength, and remind him that he is not alone in this fight.
Cylus has been through so much, but through every step, he has shown us that there is nothing more powerful than the human spirit. His fight isn’t just his own — it’s a fight for every person who’s ever faced the unimaginable, and for every person who still believes in miracles.
So, we stand with him. We stand with Cylus, with all the hope we can give, and with the unshakable belief that, no matter what, he will continue to fight with everything he has. Because the heart of a warrior doesn’t break. It beats stronger, with more love and strength than anyone could ever comprehend.
A Grandmother’s Prayer for Healing: A Family’s Struggle and Hope for Their Little Angel After a Tragic Accident. 282

Three days ago, our hearts were shattered once again as our 2-year-old granddaughter was caught in an unimaginable accident. As her daddy was leading a horse, the unthinkable happened—the horse, startled or unsure, fell on top of her. In that moment, our sweet little angel, so small and fragile, was caught under the weight of the animal. Though we are incredibly thankful that she is still alive, the pain she’s endured since then has been overwhelming. Our precious granddaughter cries out in pain, and we can see the hurt in her eyes as she struggles to find comfort.
She has even said, “naughty neigh-neigh, momma,” in her innocent way, meaning the horse was naughty for causing her harm. It’s heartbreaking to hear such words from such a young, innocent soul. But through it all, we hold on to the precious fact that she is still with us.
Our family, however, is no stranger to heartache. Almost six years ago, just around this same time, we lost her older brother in a tragic car accident. The pain of that loss never truly left us. We still carry the weight of his absence, and it was as if the universe was reminding us of that pain when this accident occurred. Then, only eight months later, we lost our only son in his sleep—an inexplicable loss that shook us to our core.
This recent accident, as devastating as it is, has dredged up all the painful memories we thought we were learning to live with. The grief we once thought had softened has now resurfaced, and our hearts ache again. We feel numb, lost, and unsure of how we can carry this weight any longer. It feels as though we’re stuck in a cycle of loss, and the hurt never fully heals. But despite our deep sorrow, we still cling to hope—hope that our little girl will recover, and hope that the power of prayer and faith will help us find peace in this storm.
We are blessed to have a large and loving family. From the moment the accident occurred, they rallied around us, offering their love, support, and most importantly, their prayers. Every day, we pray together as a family, lifting our voices in unison, asking God to heal our granddaughter and give her the strength she needs to recover. But we know that the power of prayer is even stronger when many join together in faith. It’s why we have reached out to our friends, our church members, and even the in-laws who are also praying alongside us. The sense of community, the shared love and support, has been a comfort to us during this dark time.

We now turn to the broader community, asking for prayers from anyone who feels led to help us. We believe in the power of prayer, especially when so many people come together to ask for God’s grace. We know that the healing power of love and prayer can work miracles, and we believe that with all our hearts. The prayers of those around us, the collective strength of our family and friends, offer us a flicker of light in the midst of this trial.
Our little girl’s recovery will take time, and we don’t know what the future holds, but we are holding on to hope. We are thankful to everyone who has reached out with words of comfort and support. Your prayers mean the world to us. They remind us that we are not alone, that there are others who care deeply about our family and the healing of our precious granddaughter.
As we continue this journey of healing, we ask you, our extended family of faith, to keep praying with us. Pray for her comfort, for her pain to subside, and for her to grow stronger each day. Pray for her parents, who are watching their little girl endure more than any parent should ever have to. And pray for us, that we may find the strength to carry this burden, as we trust in God’s plan and His loving presence in our lives.
Thank you from the depths of our hearts to everyone who has prayed with us and for us. Your prayers are a lifeline, a beacon of hope in a time of uncertainty. Together, we can lift up this precious child and give her the strength she needs to recover. Please continue to hold her in your hearts as we walk this painful road to healing, knowing that with each prayer, we are one step closer to the peace and healing that we so desperately need.
