LDL. Tiny Warrior Nova Faces Her Toughest Fight Yet

For eleven months, Nova lived a life full of joy, laughter, and wonder.

The toddler, diagnosed before her second birthday with Philadelphia-positive B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, experienced the miracle of remission after undergoing CAR T-cell therapy.

During this time, she was able to be a normal, happy child, clapping along to Christmas music and delighting her family with her bright smile.

But just weeks before the holidays, Nova’s leukemia returned with a vengeance.

The disease that had temporarily lifted its grip has come back, bringing heartbreak and fear to her family.

Now, Nova is admitted at Methodist Children’s Hospital, undergoing reinduction therapy to prepare for a bone marrow transplant next month — a procedure her parents hope will give her the gift of life.

Her parents describe the eleven months of remission as precious time that will forever be treasured.

They are praying that this next treatment will allow Nova to live a long and healthy life, free from the burden of cancer.

While toys, decorations, and holiday celebrations fill most homes this season, for Nova and her family, the greatest wish is simply for her continued health and the chance to enjoy more moments together.

The fight ahead is daunting, but Nova’s courage and the support of her loved ones shine brightly as they face this challenge.

Family, friends, and well-wishers are encouraged to send messages of hope and encouragement to lift Nova’s spirits during her battle with leukemia.
