Our friend 14-year-old Will Roberts from Ralph, Alabama, has been courageously fighting bone cancer. While his parents, Jason and Brittney, remain concerned about the possibility of the cancer spreading, some uplifting news arrived late last night: Will’s insurance company arranged to have his prescribed chemotherapy pills delivered.
Adding a spark of joy to his week, Will — a passionate bass angler — had the opportunity to meet 2024 Bassmaster Classic champion Justin Hamner of Northport on Monday. Meeting his hero in the world of bass fishing brought a huge smile to his face and reminded everyone of the small moments of happiness that make life brighter even during a battle with illness.
As doctors work on developing a treatment plan following Will’s latest scans, the family asks for continued prayers and support. These moments of hope and encouragement help comfort them during this stressful time.
