3S. HOT NEWS: Jelly Roll’s unexpected public outing with his 9-year-old son reveals a powerful father-son bond that instantly goes viral.

It’s not often that Jelly Roll is seen in public with his son, Noah Buddy. But the pair recently showcased their special bond during a rare public outing that appeared to be nothing short of a slam dunk.
On December 6, the father and son stepped out together in Nashville, Tenn., to enjoy an NCAA basketball game between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Illinois Fighting Illini, according to People.

For the event, which served as a Music City Madness game, Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) looked comfortable in a black hoodie and an orange ball cap, representing his team of choice — the Volunteers. Meanwhile, Noah, who normally keeps a private profile, sported a Tennessee Titans beanie while watching the game courtside with his dad by his side.
The Fighting Illini Won the Game Against the Tennessee Volunteers
Though the Tennessee Volunteers suffered a loss, with the Fighting Illini defeating them in a score of 75-62, it appeared the “Save Me” singer’s experience with Noah went down as a memorable moment for the pair.
The Father and Son Have Shared Occasional Moments Together in Public
Jelly Roll and the young boy’s father-son evening comes after the two of them spent time at Monster Jam at the top of the year. Part of the fun included Noah getting to ride the Grave Digger truck — something Jelly Roll said he had wished he could’ve done years ago.

“Is this not the coolest thing ever? I could have never gotten this close to Grave Digger. I watched Grave Digger from 180 yards away in the nosebleed section,” Jelly Roll previously said, as shown in a TikTok video, as he watched his baby boy get into the vehicle.
“It’s awesome!” Noah replied enthusiastically, looking fearless and appearing to appreciate the thoughtful gesture his father had put together for him.

In 2024, the two also shared time on the red carpet as part of the Los Angeles premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, to which Noah told Entertainment Tonight: “Sonic is my favorite character.”
Jelly Roll, 41, who is married to Bunnie Xo (real name Alissa DeFord), 45, shares Noah with his ex Melissa Ann Cowell. He is also father to his 17-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann, from another former relationship.
