2S. President Trump: ‘PERMANENTLY’ suspending immigration from THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES’.
U.S. President Announces Plan for Permanent Halt to Immigration From Developing Nations
In a late-night social media post on November 27, shortly after Thanksgiving, President Donald Trump declared that the United States would “permanently” stop accepting immigrants from what he described as “third world” nations, following the recent shooting of a security guard.

President Trump stated that a complete suspension was necessary to allow the American system “to fully recover.” He has frequently used the term “third world” to refer to developing countries marked by widespread poverty and low living standards.
The President also vowed to roll back millions of immigration applications approved under former President Joe Biden and pledged to deport individuals who, in his view, fail to contribute meaningfully to the United States or do not show loyalty to the country.
In his statement, Trump further emphasized that he planned to eliminate federal benefits and subsidies for non-citizens and remove any foreign nationals considered security risks or “incompatible with Western civilization.”
This announcement signaled a sharp intensification of the administration’s hardline immigration stance, with Trump asserting he would enact measures aimed at drastically reducing the number of “illegal and disruptive migrants.”
“Only by reversing the direction of migration can this situation be fully resolved,” the President said.
Earlier in the week, the administration had already declared an indefinite halt to immigration from Afghanistan. The decision followed an incident in Washington in which two National Guard members were shot by an Afghan national, leaving one dead.
Trump also instructed federal agencies to re-examine all Afghan entries to the United States since the country’s troop withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.
